Positing hypothetical conflict without a theoretical basis backed by empirical research is nothing more than an opinion. Rational policy cannot be made based upon an opinion.

MCSG approaches all projects using thorough theoretical and empirical processes. These include a holistic design methodology that approaches each subject uniquely, applying appropriate design systems and mechanics to model a situation. Both quantitative and qualitative factors are modeled.

There are many competing theories describing the workings of the international system and how conflict emerges from it. The first step MCSG takes in our approach is to identify the specific theoretical basis: Balance of Power, Power Transitions, Violent Systems Theory, etc. We explicitly state our assumptions in our project documentation, and document decisions as well as all statistical information and mathematical models we utilize. The result is a project whose conclusions can be substantiated.
